Champagne Agrapart - Mineral 2016
Champagne Agrapart is a Harvester-Manipulant owner in the Côte des Blancs in Avize , Champagne . The estate was founded in the 19th century by Arthur Agrapart, then developed by his grandson Pierre in the 1950s and 1960s. The 12-hectare vineyard covers mainly Grands Crus planted with Chardonnay grapes. The grapes are harvested and pressed naturally. The soils of the vineyards have always been maintained by plowing and each year in the vineyard, a compost of local ingredients is applied. The biological life of the soils generates health and productivity of the vineyard. The wines are neither fined nor filtered.
Agrapart Minéral is a Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru , from an old vine of Chardonnay from Avize (Chambouton plot) and Cramant (Bionnes plot), harvested in 2016 on very calcareous soils. Half of the wine is aged in oak barrels, without filtration. It was bottled in May 2017 then disgorged in September 2022. It is an Extra-Brut Champagne dosed at 3 g/L .
