KRUG - Grande Cuvée 168th edition - With box - Magnum
Krug is a Champagne house created by Joseph Krug in 1843, originally from the Moselle region in Germany. The house has belonged to the Krug family for 6 generations and is today known as one of the most collectible and expensive Champagnes. Joseph Krug worked with Jacquesson when he moved to France and he began by crafting a premium wine from a reserve of separately vinified wines that would eventually become the Grande Cuvée. Krug is a blend of 120 different wines from 10 or more vintages from the “Library Krug”. Each year, the cellar master leads a tasting committee which decides on the final blend. Krug Vintage is only produced in the best years.
Krug Grande Cuvée 168th Edition is a blend of Pinot Noir (52%), Chardonnay (35%) and Meunier (13%) from the 2012 vintage, supplemented with wine from reserve wines. This bottle has aged for at least 7 years in the Krug cellar before being bottled in Spring 2019.
