Champagne A. Bergère - Origin - Magnum
An iconic family house in Champagne, A. Bergère has created a precise and luminous cuvée with "Origine," centered on the clear expression of the chalky terroir. The choice of the magnum format magnifies the elegance of this cuvée: the secondary fermentation and aging in a large format promote finer bubbles, longer-lasting freshness, and harmonious development over the years. It is the ideal bottle for a high-class aperitif or to accompany an entire festive meal.
In the glass, the pale gold color comes alive with a steady effervescence. The initial nose opens with white flowers, ripe lemon, and fresh pear, then gains complexity with accents of stone fruit and a touch of brioche from the aging on lees. The palate is distinguished by a straightforward, crystalline attack, a juicy fruit center, and a saline framework that stretches the finish. The measured dosage (Brut) respects the wine's natural tension and highlights a sensation of purity and great drinkability.
At the table, this magnum of "Origine" shines as an aperitif with its momentum and precision, but is also very comfortable with oysters and shellfish, citrus ceviche, grilled white fish, roast poultry with fresh herbs, or delicate vegetable dishes. Serve between 8 and 10 °C in a tulip glass to allow the bubbles to blossom and the bouquet to gain in amplitude. The magnum will offer immediate pleasure while promising a very beautiful length over several years of cellaring.
Grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Meunier.
