TORMORE - 10 years - Bourbon Barrel - Blueprint Cask Program - 48%
Tormore Distillery is located in Advie, in the Speyside region of Scotland . At a time when no new distillery had been built for decades, Tormore marked a turning point: built in 1958, it became the first Scottish distillery built since the beginning of the 20th century. It was successively acquired by Whitbread (1975), Allied Domecq (1989), Pernod Ricard (2005), and finally sold to Elixir Distillers in 2022. Tormore bottles very little of its production as single malt; almost all of the whisky produced is intended for the production of blends, mainly Long John. In early 2023, under the direction of Polly Logan , the distillery resumed production, with plans for renovation, a future opening to the public and the launch of a dedicated official range.
The Blueprint Cask program offers a glimpse into the future building blocks of Tormore. Each release focuses on a specific maturation style that could shape the structure of future Tormore single malts.
This official pre-release was aged for 10 years in Bourbon barrels . 1500 bottles were produced.

"Freshness emanates from this Tormore 10 Year Old: citrus zest blends with creamy vanilla and stone fruit, carried by a malty sweetness."
