The Compagnie des Indes was founded in 2016 on the initiative of Pierre Beuchet. It is inspired by companies from the East Indies that existed in the seventeenth and eighteenth century, specializing in the trade of fine products from distant countries. The rums of the Compagnie des Indes are therefore representative of their original terroir, they are authentic rums with strong identity that invite you to travel in their native soil.

The famous Caroni distillery is founded in 1918 in the state of Trinidad (Trinidad) & Tobago. This state distillery then owns its own sugar refinery to ensure its supply of raw material, high quality sugar canes produced on site. Highly equipped with different types of stills (columns and iron), this legendary distillery has long remained "secret" and "mystical". Indeed, few of their rums have been bottled under their own label. Their eaux-de-vie have a very unique aromatic profile with fragrances of hydrocarbons, sweet spices and honey. Unfortunately, the government decided to close the distillery in 2002 following a crisis in the sugar industry. As a result, their scarcity has risen sharply, making these rums so atypical in a mythical dimension.

This 23-year-old Trinidad rum from the Caroni distillery comes from a single barrel and is rated at 53.1 °, this is a Single Cask / Cask Strength. It was distilled in 1993 before aging for 23 years in bourbon casks. It was later reported in France to be bottled in August 2017.

A wonder that of course appears in a limited series. Only 248 numbered bottles could be produced ...
