Château CADET-PIOLA 1983

It is from 7 hectares of vines located on the clay-limestone plateau of Saint-Émilion that this classified Grand Cru is born. The grape variety is quite unusual for the Right Bank, with only half of Merlot, a large quarter of Cabernet Sauvignon, less than a fifth of Cabernet Franc and a little Pressac, another name for Malbec.
After manual harvesting and vinification in thermoregulated concrete and stainless steel vats, the cuvée is aged in 60% new French oak barrels, for a production of 32,000 bottles which will be completed in the beautiful cellars of the estate, dug out hand and at a constant temperature of 13 degrees.
Behind the beautiful label of this Cadet-Piola there is strength, a nose and a mouth where the wood never goes beyond the fruit, fleshy tannins and the roundness of Merlot.
