Renowned for centuries for its wines, the Domaine de Lagravière was acquired at the end of the 18th century by the family of Count Hippolyte de Maurès de Malartic. The property will become known as Château Malartic-Lagravière when Madame Arnaud Ricardad adds the name of Malartic in memory of the former owners.

Included in the 1953 Graves classification, Château Malartic Lagravière stands out among its peers by being one of the only vintages classified in red and white. In 1996, Château Malartic-Lagravière wrote a new page in its history by becoming the property of the Bonnie family.

Superbly located on a hillock of gravel in Léognan, south of Bordeaux, Château Malartic-Lagravière watches over an exceptional vineyard spread over 53 hectares of vines. The grape varieties of Château Malartic-Lagravière are made up of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in equal parts (45%), Cabernet Franc (8%), and Petit Verdot (2%) for red wines while white wines are from Sauvignon Blanc (80% and Sémillon (20%).

Reflecting the identity of the greatest terroirs of the Graves, Château Malartic-Lagravière is renowned for its superb wines, expressive and intensely marked with fruit, while the palate offers great indulgence, substance and a refined structure.
