Egon Müller - Scharzhoberger Trockenbeerenauslese 2017 A monument of world viticulture, surely the greatest sweet wine in the world and the rarest. Of this 2017 vintage, only 100 bottles were produced. This cuvée is produced on the left bank of the Danube, on beautiful limestone hillsides facing due south. The term Trockenbeerenauslese or "TBA" means selection of dried berries, it is the equivalent of our "selection of noble grains", but see here rather the cream of the crop of a selection of noble grains. This TBA is a micro-cuvée that is produced only very rarely as the conditions for obtaining these exceptional grapes are difficult to achieve. The last vintage to have been produced before 2017 was 2011. Only 100 to 400 bottles are produced depending on the vintage and distributed throughout the world. Suffice it to say that you have here one of the rarest wines in the world. It is not without reason that it has become over time the most expensive white wine on the planet. You have here a divine declination of creamy dates, noble plants with accents of verbena and aromatic herbs, juicy grapes and marzipan revealed on the nose, captivating in depth and complexity. The palate is an enveloping and creamy embrace with honeyed notes and exotic fruits, enhanced with refined spices. An exquisite delicacy with an impressive finish of length and sapidity! A wine of unparalleled complexity, the mouthfeel is quite simply the most accomplished that can exist. A legendary wine!

A monument of world viticulture, surely the greatest sweet wine in the world and the rarest. On this 2017 vintage only 100 bottles were produced. We had the opportunity to be able to have one!

This cuvée is produced on the left bank of the Danube, on beautiful limestone slopes facing due south. The term Trockenbeerenauslese or “TBA” stands for selection of dried berries, it is the equivalent of our “selection of noble grains”, but see here rather the head cream of a selection of noble grains.

This TBA is a micro-cuvée which is produced only very rarely as the conditions to obtain these exceptional grapes are difficult to meet. The last vintage to be produced before 2017 was 2011. Only 100 to 400 bottles are produced depending on the vintage and disseminated throughout the world. You might as well say that here you have one of the rarest wines in the world. It is not without reason that over time it has become the most expensive white wine on the planet.
