It was in Venezuela, at the foot of the Andes mountain range, that the distillery producing Diplomático rums was established in 1959. Diplomático rums are made from molasses and sugar cane honey; molasses produces light rums and cane honey more complex rums. His style is as much due to the fact that he uses his own yeast strain as to his different distillation methods, including various continuous columns for light rums, the batch kettle for intermediate rums and old copper stills for more complex rums.

The Single Vintage 2005 is a honey and molasses rum which was distilled in 2005 before being bottled in 2018 after almost 12 years of aging in Bourbon and Scottish Whiskey barrels. In addition, a year-long finish in Xérès Oloroso casks. Available in a beautiful box and in a beautiful carafe, this Hispanic rum will seduce you with its inimitable style and its bewitching aromas.
