The quality of Beau-Séjour Bécot's wine has been constantly improving since the mid-1980s. It was at around that time (1985) that the château was declassified, not regaining its premier grand cru status until 1996. The Bécot family make a highly rated grand vin: rich and lively, it becomes more refined and complex after a few years in the bottle. This wine offers elegant fruity flavours, combined with delicate woody notes. It has a natural bouquet with notes of truffles and spices, and a supple, smooth character.
