Any big whiskey lover has already heard about this mythical distillery that was born in the city of the same name in the Japanese Alps. The distillery ceased operation in 2000 and today the rare bottles in circulation are extremely sought after by all whiskey lovers. The peculiarity and the richness of these eaux de vies come from the extreme purity of the water which was filtered through the volcanic rock, the extreme climatic conditions of this region and the quality of the barley used.

This magnificent box set of Karuizawa on behalf of The Golden House of Five Mistress includes five bottlenecks of 180 ml each from the assembly of the last two years of production of the distillery: 1999 & 2000. These different casks are exclusively aged in barrels. Sherry casks and bottled to the natural degree without reduction. The labels represent five Geisha ukiyo-e paintings by artist Yamamoto Asuka from the Meiji period in Japan.
