Château LATOUR MARTILLAC 1992
Château Latour-Martillac is located in Martillac, in the Pessac-Léognan appellation in Bordeaux. It appears in the 1953 Classification of Graves Wines. In 1871, the estate attracted the attention of Edouard Kressmann who had just founded his wine merchant in Bordeaux. Today, Jean Kressmann's 6 children own the estate and carry on the family tradition. Tristan and Loïc, the two youngest sons, manage the estate with the help of the best Bordeaux wine consultants. Loïc Kressmann and the manager of the vineyard, Denis Wendling, have set up an integrated wine-growing practice, respectful of the environment and comprising four main axes: promoting biodiversity, work adapted to the vine, a measured approach to treatments and a wash area where all effluents and wastewater from viticulture are collected and treated.
The Grand Vin of Château Latour-Martillac is a predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon blend, with Merlot and Petit Verdot. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 16 months, 40% of which is new.
