Domaine Belargus - Ronceray 2018
Domaine Belargus is located in Val-du-Layon, in the heart of Anjou Noir in the Loire Valley. The vines are distributed around three main islets (Savennières, Quarts-de-Chaume and Coteaux du Layon), themselves made up of unique terroirs, precisely defined by their exposure, their subsoil or their slope. Built by Ivan Massonnat, the 20-hectare estate, managed in biodynamics, is dedicated to Chenin Blanc and explores these micro-terroirs in a plot approach inspired by Burgundy climates. The team is made up of young talents such as Adrien Moreau in charge of cellar and Amaury Chartier in head of culture and the estate benefits from the support of true pioneers of the Loire Valley such as Jo Pithon and Guy Bossard.
Spurred on by several winegrowers in the appellation, Ronceray is the name given to the dry white wines produced in the Chaume Premier Cru and Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru appellation, in homage to the abbesses of the Ronceray abbey, owners of the vines. in the 11th century.
