Deutz - Classic Brut - Double Magnum
The Deutz Champagne House is located in Aÿ, in the Marne Valley in Champagne . It was founded in 1838 by wine merchants William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann. In 1983, after generations of ownership by the Deutz and Geldermann families, the company was sold to the Rouzaud family, owners of Louis Roederer . Nearly 80% of the fruit comes from Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites. Most of the Deutz vineyards are in the Aÿ region, with additional parcels in the Côte des Blancs. The house also uses grapes from growers under contract. In the cellar, the still base wines are vinified in stainless steel vats. After the second fermentation, the bottles are aged in underground cellars.
The Brut Classique is a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Meunier with a proportion of reserve wine varying from 20 to 40% depending on the vintage.
Grapes: 1/3 Pinot Noir, 1/3 Chardonnay, 1/3 Meunier
