Champagne A. Bergère - B. Martin - Reserve Brut
Champagne A. Bergère is located in Epernay, in Champagne . The brand was founded by Albert Bergère in 1949, when he began to produce his Champagne by exploiting the family vines. His son André, accompanied by his wife Brigitte Martin, took over the management of the estate and extended the vineyard significantly: 14 terroirs on the Côte des Blancs. Thus, supplies of grapes from renowned villages and prestigious terroirs come each year to complete the harvest, offering a wide range of possibilities in the blends.
After the manual harvest, the grapes are pressed and alcoholic fermentation begins after clarification. In January, the team meets for the blends of different grape varieties, vintages or years. The wines created are bottled accompanied by the liqueur de liqueur which allows the foaming. During this second fermentation, the bottles are placed in the cellar between 3 to 4 years on average. At the end of ageing, the bottles are disgorged and then dosed with the expedition liqueur which defines the dosage. The bottles then return to the cellar for a minimum of 3 months before being marketed.
The B. Martin cuvée takes its name from Brigitte Martin, André Bergère's wife. B. Martin Réserve is a blend of Chardonnay (80%) and Pinot Noir (20%) with a Brut dosage of 12 g/L .
