Château RAUZAN-SEGLA 2014
Château Rauzan-Ségla is located in Margaux , in the Bordeaux wine region. It was classified Second Grand Cru Classé in the classification of 1855. The castle was initially founded under the name of Domaine de Rauzan in 1661 by Pierre Desmezures, an important figure in the history of Bordeaux who, at the time, also owned the Margaux and Latour castles. Eventually, the property came under the control of the Baroness of Ségla, Catherine de Rauzan, who renamed it Rauzan-Ségla. In 1994, the estate was bought by Maison Chanel . The vineyard covers 70 hectares, with the average age of the vines being 37 years.
Château Rauzan-Ségla 2014 is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (56%), Merlot (42%), Petit Verdot (1%) and Cabernet Franc (1%) . After parcel vinification, the wine is aged for 18 months in barrels , 60% of which are new.
