La Gauloise - Cuvée des 240 ans - Nectar des Druides - 45%
Gauloise is a liqueur made from plants and eau de vie , originating from Corrèze, in central France. The recipe was apparently rediscovered by Edouard Requier, distiller and liquorist in Périgueux, in 1783 in a grimoire. It is now produced by La Distillerie du Center in Limoges.
Master liquorist Pierre Nouhaud uses angelica, St. John's wort, saffron, cardamom, genepi and other secret ingredients, distilled twice over a wood fire.
Nectar des Druides was developed by the master liquor maker in 2023 to celebrate the 240th anniversary of La Gauloise. It is a blend of green and yellow Gauloise, partly aged in barrels.
