Château TERTRE ROTEBOEUF 2021
Château Tertre-Rôteboeuf is located in Saint-Émilion , Bordeaux . It is classified as Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion. The estate is owned by François and Emilie Mitjavile , who also own Château Roc de Cambes (Côtes de Bourg) and L'Aurage (Côtes de Castillon). The Château was known as Le Tertre until 1975, when the Mitjavile family decided to add Rôteboeuf to the property's name to make it more distinctive. The vineyard covers just under 6 hectares on a steep slope. The terroir is slightly cooler than most properties in Saint-Émilion, meaning Tertre-Rôteboeuf is usually one of the last in the region to finish its harvest, but this also contributes to the richness of the wine style. Yields are kept very low to ensure a concentrated wine and the grapes are harvested by hand.
Château Tertre-Rôteboeuf is a blend of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%) . It is fermented in concrete tanks at controlled temperatures and aged in new oak barrels for 24 months .
Grape varieties: 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon
