Hontambère - Rare Armagnac Collection - Armagnac - 2011 - Baco - Single Cask - 57.2%
The Hontambère Distillery is located in Castelnau d'Auzan, in the Ténarèze region in the heart of Armagnac . Cindy Crighton, Director, and Sylvain Lafargue, Distiller and Cellar Master, offer eaux-de-vie produced from the estate's vineyard planted with the four main grape varieties: Ugni Blanc, Baco, Folle Blanche and Colombard. The grape brandy is distilled in a century-old Armagnac still in the Hontambère cellars. Hontambère is not only a producer of Armagnac but also a bottler. Old stocks such as that from the prestigious Pouchégu distillery are now part of the Hontambère collection. In total, there are more than 550 barrels patiently aging in the cellars, witnesses to the historical richness of Armagnac.
This Armagnac Ténazère is produced from the Baco grape variety distilled in 2011. It was aged for 10 years in a single barrel ( #TC9) in a dry cellar. It was bottled in May 2023 and 400 bottles were produced.
