Champagne A. Bergère - Vintage 2015 - Brut
Champagne A. Bergère is located in Epernay, Champagne . The brand was founded by Albert Bergère in 1949, when he began producing his Champagne using the family vineyards. His son André, accompanied by his wife Brigitte Martin, took over the management of the estate and expanded the vineyard significantly: 14 terroirs on the Côte des Blancs. Thus, grape supplies from renowned villages and prestigious terroirs complement the harvests each year, offering a wide range of possibilities in blends.
After the hand-picked grapes, the grapes are pressed, and alcoholic fermentation begins after clarification. In January, the team meets to blend different grape varieties, vintages, or vintages. The resulting wines are bottled with the tirage liqueur, which allows for the fermentation process. During this second fermentation, the bottles are placed in the cellar for an average of 3 to 4 years. At the end of the aging process, the bottles are disgorged and then dosed with the expedition liqueur, which determines the dosage. The bottles then return to the cellar for at least 3 months before being released.
The Prestige cuvée is a blend of Chardonnay (50%), Meunier (40%) and Pinot Noir (10%) from the 2015 vintage only. Vinification and aging are carried out on lees. It was disgorged in November 2023 and contains a dosage of 3 g/L .
Grape varieties: 50% Chardonnay, 40% Meunier, 10% Pinot Noir
"A champagne of character born from a beautiful year: this 2015 by A. Bergère combines finesse and structure. The nose evokes ripe apple, toasted almond, and a touch of wet chalk."
