Woodford Reserve - Derby 150 - Edition 2024 - 45.2%
Woodford Reserve is a brand of Kentucky Bourbon produced by Brown-Forman Corporation. The Woodford Reserve Distillery, formerly known as the Old Oscar Pepper Distillery and later the Labrot & Graham Distillery, is located near the town of Versailles in north-central Kentucky . It is made from a blend of copper still distilled spirits produced at the company's Woodford Reserve Distillery and column still distilled spirits from the Brown Forman Distillery in Shively. The master distillers at Woodford Reserve are Chris Morris and Elizabeth McCall . Chris began his bourbon career in 1976, while Elizabeth joined Woodford Reserve in 2018 to develop new expressions with a focus on innovation.
Woodford Reserve, the presenting sponsor of the Kentucky Derby , is paying tribute to "the greatest two minutes in sports" with the release of its 2024 Derby commemorative bottle. It features the artwork of Wylie Caudill , known for his bold, repetitive patterns and signature roses. He painted his "Adorned in Roses" painting of a racing thoroughbred covered in red roses, set against a backdrop of multicolored roses.
