Champagne LECLERC BRIANT - La Croisette The La Croisette cuvée from Maison Leclerc Briant comes from the harvest of a single year. It is a 100% Chardonnay vinified and aged in barrels, without any dosage. It comes from a plot in the village of Cumières, a plot with particular characteristics due to its soil and grape varieties, and which was selected for the extraordinary quality of the grapes produced by their vines. It gave its name to the cuvée. The wine embodies the typicity of the vintage through its freshness and the sensation of crisp fruit. The care taken in barrel work and dosage allows for the pure and frank expression of the wine's pulpy richness. The slightly more chalky finish remains full and deliciously saline, with good mineral bitters. This champagne, produced using Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture, is a very rare cuvée. It is a tasty and generous champagne whose precision calls for a spicy and creative cuisine. It will be perfect with Gillardeau oysters, or gravlax salmon or even semi-cooked scallops in lemon breadcrumbs and tarragon espuma.

Champagne LECLERC BRIANT - La Croisette

The Champagne House Leclerc Briant is located in Epernay, in Champagne. It was created in Cumières in 1872 by Lucien Leclerc. Under the action of Bertrand Leclerc, great-grandson of the founder, and his wife Jacqueline Briant, the Domaine becomes Maison de Négoce. In 1990, Pascal Leclerc took over from his parents and continued their work. In 2012, the takeover of Leclerc Briant by Mark Nunnelly and Denise Dupré saved the House from oblivion. This American couple joins Frédéric Zeimett, originally from Champagne, who now manages the House. The House has 14 hectares of vines, mostly located in Grand Cru (Mailly, Le Mesnil) and Premier Cru (Hautvilliers, Cumières, Mareuil sur Aÿ, Bisseuil, Rilly La Montagne, Villers-Allerand, Trépail). The Domaine also includes a tiny plot of vines called La Croisette. Maison Leclerc Briant was one of the precursors of biodynamics in Champagne. From the end of the 1950s, Bertrand Leclerc was the first to implement organic farming practices, with the certifications undertaken by his son Pascal. Today, the entire vineyard is certified in biodynamic agriculture and all the range is labeled vegan.

La Croisette is a plot selection made entirely from Chardonnay, harvested in 2014 on the La Croisette plot in Epernay. The wine is vinified and matured for 9 months in barrels. It is not dosed and is disgorged in May 2018.
