MORGON - CLASSIC - Bio JEAN FOILLARD 2017

A 100% Gamay aged in vats, with a pretty garnet color. The nose is full of fruits, sour cherries and violets. The mouth is round and greedy in a very nice balance. A fresh, fruity, very pleasant wine which charms us with its scale.

Jean Foillard is one of those winegrowers who have made the reputation of the Grands Beaujolais. This member of the "Marcel band" (Lapierre) mainly produces Morgon wines on 8 hectares. He naturally practices organic viticulture and vinifies his wines using traditional carbonic maceration from Beaujolais.
Little or no filtration and a minimum of sulfur, the result: sincere wines made by an endearing, humble and talented character.

He is one of the legendary Beaujolais winegrowers. It all started in 1981, when he joined the family estate. The winemaker goes through the years, while remaining faithful to his style, natural wines, without frills, but precise. All the vinifications are carried out at low temperature, in carbonic maceration and whole harvest. The wines reflect the palatability and freshness of Beaujolais Grands Crus.
