Coming from a family with a long winemaking tradition, Francisco Javier García Núñez and his sons Jonatan and Francisco create Suertes de Marqués while maintaining the agricultural tradition of the region.
It is with this in mind that in 2006 they began to develop wines that focus above all on quality and which are produced only from indigenous Canarian grape varieties.

In 2008, oenologist Roberto Santana, who previously worked for the Casa Castillo estate in Jumilla, joined the project.

Located in the medianías (area between 350 and 700 meters above sea level) of La Orotava (Las Suertes), the estate is set on a 9 hectare vineyard. The latter is mainly made up of centuries-old black and white Listán vines cultivated according to the particular system of multiple cords; the rest of the vineyard is made up of young and old vines of indigenous grape varieties (Pedro Ximenez, Tintilla, Baboso negro) cultivated in espalier and cordon.

The property comprises 21 plots identified according to the composition of the soil, orientation, altitude and temperature.

Each plot is analyzed, checked, worked and vinified separately.
This process allows each wine to reflect the personality of the soils.
The estate interferes as little as possible in the production of the wines and uses, for their fermentation and aging, open uncoated concrete vats and French oak casks.

Variety: 90% Listán negro, 10% Castellana negra
8 months in French Allier oak barrels and 8 months in concrete vats.
