Domaine Roland Laventureux - The Adventure - Liqueur - Blackcurrant
Domaine Roland Laventureux is an emblematic family estate from the Chablis region, located in Lignorelles, north of Chablis. Known for its precise, mineral white wines deeply marked by the limestone terroirs of the region, the estate is now developing under the leadership of Arnaud and David Laventureux. With the L'Aventure range, the family opens a new chapter around liqueurs, while maintaining the same standards of purity, clarity, and aromatic precision. The Blackcurrant fits into this approach as an intensely Burgundian expression, centered on a black fruit emblematic of the region. This naturally concentrated berry offers remarkable aromatic depth, balancing power, acidity, and freshness. L'Aventure – The Blackcurrant stands out for its precise and very fruity style, far from heavy or excessively sweet liqueurs. It is a characterful, artisanal liqueur that extends the Laventureux universe into a gourmet and refined register.
The L'Aventure – The Blackcurrant cuvée is crafted around the natural concentration of blackcurrant, a fruit that is both intense, tangy, and deeply aromatic. Its identity is based on extracting the lively character of the berry, seeking purity rather than aromatic overload. The blackcurrant brings aromas of fresh black fruit, ripe pulp, bud, crumpled leaf, and a very characteristic tangy tension. The texture is soft and enveloping, but the balance is maintained by the freshness of the fruit. This liqueur thus retains a clean, precise, and dynamic finish that avoids any heavy sensation. It can be enjoyed neat, slightly chilled, but also makes a superb base for cocktails or pairings with desserts. Its style highlights the intensity of blackcurrant, with an elegant and contemporary reading of a great Burgundian tradition.
In the glass, Domaine Roland Laventureux L'Aventure – The Blackcurrant reveals a dark, deep robe with intense violet reflections. The nose opens on ripe blackcurrant, black fruit jelly, blueberry, blackcurrant, and a noble vegetal touch reminiscent of blackcurrant bud. The palate is soft, dense, and very expressive, with a beautiful sensation of fresh fruit despite the natural richness of the liqueur. The acidity of the blackcurrant gives relief, prolongs the tasting, and balances the sweetness. The finish remains precise, fresh, and persistent, with an intense return on the black berry and a slight tangy note. This liqueur will be perfect in a kir with a Bourgogne Aligoté, in a kir royal with a Crémant, on ice, or as an aromatic touch in a gin or vodka-based cocktail. It will also pair very well with a red fruit tart, dark chocolate fondant, panna cotta, vanilla ice cream, blackcurrant sorbet, or a pear-based dessert.
