Languedoc > Pic Saint Loup
In the far east of Languedoc, a small mountain rises 700 meters above sea level. Visible from several dozen kilometers around, Pic Saint Loup looks like Everest in the surrounding panoramic flatness. It was in this area that Christophe Peyrus settled in 1995 to create the Clos Marie vineyard. Building on his reputation, Christophe Peyrus took on a new challenge, creating a 6.5-hectare estate cultivated organically, on a limestone terroir, cradled by a gentle southern heat and purified by the Tramontane wind. The wines of Domaine Christophe Peyrus are dense, deep black in color due to the Syrah, which represents 80% of the blend, the rest being Grenache Noir. This 2014 has particularly elegant tannins with remarkable substance. An incredibly fine finish, with dried herbs, garrigue, prunes and iodine, oscillating between marked acidity and delicate bitterness.

Clos des Reboussiers (formerly Christophe Peyrus) is located in Cazevieille, in the Languedoc . The estate was founded in 1999 on the southern slope of Pic Saint Loup and changed its name in 2020 following the installation of a new team. The vineyard extends over 8.5 hectares of vines at an altitude of 270 meters and the terroir is made up of flint limestone. The property has always been managed organically and biodiversity is respected by the presence of fruit trees, truffle oaks and plant cover on the estate's plots.
