The effigy of Saint Kevin is depicted on the bottle because he would have spent seven years in the wilds of Ireland before founding the "City of the Seven Churches" in Glendalough. This figure echoes this whiskey whose soul was forged over seven years.

The Glendalough distillery (pronounced "Glendaloc") offers a Single Malt aged for 7 years in Bourbon casks selected for their intense and sweet scents.

The Bourbon casks used previously contained dark beer (Porter) for 6 months from the "5 Lamps" brewery in Dublin. The "Black Pitts Porter" is rich and creamy characterized by aromas of chocolate and roasted barley.

The aromas of this Porter steeped in wood blend with the citrus aromas of the whiskey, reinforcing the notes of cocoa, toasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee on the finish.
