Hee Joy is a range of rums from the Hedonist Spirits company, it presents a selection of old English rums from Jamaica, Trinidad and Guyana. They are meticulously selected and refined and assembled in the Cognac region of Grande Champagne, a region steeped in ancestral know-how in breeding and blending. All the elements are there to make this rums reach their goal: to become rums of high fly with friendly and warm character. A project born out of the will of Jean-Marc Larhantec who has been able to impose on the market by the only force its high quality.

Worthy Park was established in the 1670s, the sugar industry started there around 1710 and the distillation of molasses rums began soon after, designating Worthy Park Estate as the oldest distillery in Jamaica. Only 3 families headed the estate, the Price family, Francis Price being the first owner of the estate for services to the British Crown. In 1863, the estate passed into the hands of the Talbot family and since 1918 is owned by the Clarke family. Between 1950 and 2005, the distillation activity stops at the order of the Jamaican government but the sugar industry continues. The distillation is done in a single Forsyths still pot still double report copper, so dear to the realization of rum in the Jamaican style. At Worthy Park Estate, the environment is a major concern and occupies a key place in decision-making and business activity.

Hee Joy's Jamaica XO Single Cask aged rum comes from the Worthy Park Distillery on the 2008 vintage harvest. After a long clean fermentation at the distillery, the juices were distilled into the still pot still of Worthy Park. . The eaux-de-vie thus obtained were aged for 10 years in casks of ex-Bourbon (Jack Daniels 30 years), then this rum was refined 6 months in barrels of ex- Cognac XO in Chevanceaux. This rum is the expression of an exceptional vintage on a unique terroir, Jamaica. He embodies the exceptional craftsmanship of Jamaica's master distiller, magnified by that of Hedonists Spirits.
