Clos de Tart - Grand Cru Monopole 1988
The Clos de Tart was founded in 1141 by the Bernardine nuns of the Abbey of Tart, dependent on that of Cîteaux. In 1791, the Clos de Tart became the property of Marey-Monge then it was sold in 1932 to the Mommessin family, originally from Mâconnais, who is the sole owner. It is a vineyard of a single plot of 7.53 hectares located on the Finage of Morey-Saint-Denis in Côte de Nuits.
Since its creation, this Clos has never been fragmented and it is today, in Burgundy, the largest Monopoly classified Grand Cru.
