DILLON - Brut de Colonne - 71.3%
Dillon Distillery is located in Martinique. The team carries out different jobs (agriculture, distillation, bottling and marketing) in several territories of Martinique: in Saint-Pierre at the foot of Mount Pelée, in Basse-Pointe on the Atlantic coast and in Fort-de-France. Its history dates back to 1779 with the arrival of the Dillon regiment in Martinique and the rum factory was built in 1869. In 1891, it was devastated by a cyclone. The current buildings will be rebuilt in 1928 by Raphaël Domergue. The Bardinet group bought the Dillon distillery in 1967, which obtained the AOC "Rum from Martinique" in 1996. Agricultural rums are produced solely from the distillation of fermented juice from sugar cane. The distillery implements sustainable development: no chemical fertilizers or pesticides during production, irrigation produced from distillation residues to obtain pure water, photovoltaic panels and production of methane recovered in the form of electricity.
This Brut de Colonne cuvée is a white rum bottled in 2019 at 71.3%.
