Domaine de Bréseyme - Brézème Rouge 2017
"Domaine & Maison Les Alexandrins" was born from the association of three figures from the North of the Rhône Valley: Nicolas Jaboulet, 6th generation of a family of winegrowers settled in Tain l'Hermitage since 1834 and at the head of Maison Nicolas Perrin, Guillaume Sorrel, son of Marc Sorrel from Domaine Sorrel en Hermitage, and Alexandre Caso, the specialist in terroirs from the North of the Rhône Valley. In 2014, the desire of Alexandre and Guillaume to promote the wines of Domaine Les Alexandrins and the desire of Nicolas to anchor Maison Nicolas Perrin in the heart of the North Rhône Valley led the 3 men to collaborate more and more closely.
Domaine de Bréseyme was created in 1999 by the Gresse family, and currently operates 4 hectares of Côtes du Rhône “Brézème” and 4.5 hectares producing IGP Vins de Pays des Collines Rhodaniennes.
The Côte-du-Rhône Brezeme is made from Syrah cultivated on the localities of Brezeme Est and Brezeme Ouest. The vines are planted on steep hillsides facing south on clay-limestone soil. The vinification is carried out in full harvest and the aging lasts 15 months in barrels of 2 to 3 wines.
Grape variety: 100% Syrah
