Glen Moray is located in Elgin, in the Speyside region of Scotland . Glen Moray was originally a brewery (Elgin West Brewery) and was converted into a distillery equipped with two stills in 1897. After a period of closure between 1910 and 1923, the distillery was bought and recommissioned by the owners of the Glenmorangie distillery: the MacDonald and Muir families. In 1958, it was equipped with two new stills. Its current production capacity is approximately 2 million liters per year. In 2008, the distillery was sold to La Martiniquaise by Glenmorangie Company Ltd.

This expression is distilled from peated barley malt and then aged in American and European oak barrels .
