Domaine Martinelle - The Laces 2023
Domaine Martinelle is located in Lafare, in the southern Rhône region. It was established in 2002 by Corinna Faravel . She began her apprenticeship in Germany, working in various wineries before deciding to seriously explore the red wines of southern France. After a difficult start, losing two vintages, she slowly built the estate, selling vines and buying new ones. She completed the construction of a winery carved into a rocky hillside. Today, the vineyard occupies 11.5 hectares on the eastern slope of the imposing limestone cliffs of the Dentelles de Montmirail. The landscape is marked by steep hills, and the vineyards share the space with olive and pine trees, with aromatic herbs growing among the rows of vines. The wines are produced in the Ventoux and Beaumes de Venise appellations, and the entire estate has been certified organic since 2015.
Les Dentelles is a blend of Mourvèdre (65%), Grenache (25%) and Syrah (10%) . The harvest is destemmed and maceration by infusion lasts 7 days. Vinification and aging take place in concrete vats .
Grape varieties: 65% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, 10% Syrah
