Domaine de Vaccelli - Campo di Magna White 2023
Domaine de Vaccelli is located in Cognocoli-Monticchi , Corsica . The family estate was purchased in the 1960s by the Courrèges family, after Algerian independence. Its owner, Gérard Courrèges (son of Alain Courrèges), has been producing wines under the AOC Ajaccio, Vin de Pays de l'Île de Beauté and Vin de France appellations since the 1970s. Today, the vineyard covers 27 hectares planted with numerous grape varieties, a large proportion of which are indigenous grape varieties . The vineyard has been managed using certified organic farming methods since 2019.
Campo di Magna is a single-plot cuvée made from Vermentinu vines planted in 1964 and top-grafted. Vinification and aging last 12 months on lees in foudres and demi-muids , then 7 months in stainless steel vats .
