There are in this Margaux from Château Labégorce Zédé, an estate located above the town of Margaux, the 4 traditional red grape varieties of Bordeaux, with half cabernet sauvignon, 45% merlot and the rest in cabernet franc and petit verdot. The terroir is typically margalais, with beautiful stony gravel with a part particularly rich in silt .
The grapes are picked by hand, carefully sorted and pressed for yields of around 50 hectoliters per hectare. This is followed by traditional vinification in thermoregulated concrete vats, as well as aging for 12 to 15 months in barrels containing 40% new wood .
