Château Tirecul La Gravière - Cuvée Madame 2009

The Historic Monument of Château Tirecul La Gravière, which must be earned: Wait at least 5 years after the vintage to open a bottle. Yquem had better watch out ;-)

This exceptional cuvée represents the most successful expression of the wines of Pouriture Noble. The picking is done with extreme care, very often grain by grain.

It delivers an extraordinary complexity of aromas, then its splendor is revealed in the mouth with a creaminess and a rare power, never taken for lack of heaviness. This cuvée is recognized worldwide as an absolute reference in the field.

Terroir: predominantly limestone soils, sloping.

Vines: North-East exposure.

Grape varieties: 50% muscadelle, 45% sémillon, 5% sauvignon.

Harvest: late harvest in several passages.

Vinification: no mechanical handling, slow pressing, flow by gravity.

Aging: matured for 30 months in French oak barrels with frequent racking.

Tasting: balanced and powerful wine, concentrated without heaviness.

The winemaker's recommendation : " Dare to try surprising pairings. Our wines go very well with spices and exotic cuisines. Play with sweet and salty flavors."
