It is the first 100% French Triple malt whiskey aged in Sauternes casks!
At the end of an uncompromising blind tasting carried out on around forty French whiskeys - all the components had to be entirely produced in France - three Single malts established themselves as the best, worthy of composing the assembly of Bellevoye Blanc . The three best Single Malts in France (Nord, Alsace, Charente) were selected. Not peated
The primary aging phase, in each of the three original distilleries, lasted between three and eight years, in oak barrels. After blending, this unpeated Triple malt stayed six months in the Bellevoye cellar, in Charente: there it benefited from a luxurious secondary aging in Sauternes casks from a famous Classified Growth.
These barrels give the whiskey the sweet aromas characteristic of these great sweet wines - apricot, acacia honey, orange marmalade, spices, vanilla… - which come together with more classic notes of dried fruits. Rich in lees, the barrels also nourish the substance of Bellevoye Blanc, more opulent, smoother, more delicious, always with a beautiful freshness.
