Château GRAND CORBIN-DESPAGNE 1992
Owner of Grand Corbin-Despagne in Saint-Emilion for more than 2 centuries, the Despagne family has shared the same passion for the vineyard and respect for traditions for seven generations. Today, François Despagne is at the head of the Château. The vineyard is located north of the Saint-Emilion appellation, on the edge of Pomerol, on a sandy clay soil. Since 1996, the cultivation of the vine has been carried out in Sustainable Agriculture and he obtained the Organic Certification in 2013.
Château Grand Corbin-Despagne comes from a blend of 75% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Franc and 1% Cabernet Sauvignon whose average age is 38 years. The aging takes place in new barrels from 40% to 60% and in second-use barrels from 35% to 50% depending on the vintage. The wine is bottled 21 months after harvest.
