Version Française - Armorik 2011 - 50%
Version Française is a La Maison du Whisky négoce range, made up of French spirits. The aim is to favour short circuits and encourage local consumption.
Warenghem was the first French distillery to embark on the whisky production in 1983. Since the introduction of its first Single Malt in 1998, the distillery has continued to refine its mastery in terms of production. It is equipped with two stills; a wash still of 6,000 litres and a spirit still of 3,500 litres. The whisky was distilled in 2011 and aged in Bourbon casks. The maturing cask selected for the Version Française range reflects the Breton terroir: it is a Single Malt matured in a barrel that contained Chouchen, the region's famous mead. It comes from a Single Cask (#480) which produced 262 bottles.
