Domaine de Dame Bertrande - l'ile aux lièvres 2018
The Domaine de Dame Bertrande is located in Saint-Astier, in the Lot-et-Garonne. Brice Tingaud, now winemaker and manager of the estate, was a video game developer. His father, Alain Tingaud, bought the estate in 1995 as a tribute to his own father and surrounded himself with a competent team who would bring the estate to maturity. The property has two reception rooms to host weddings and seminars, as well as two lodgings. In the vineyard as in the cellar, the practices are minimalist and draw their sources from organic farming, biodynamic, permaculture, agroforestry. The estate is certified in organic farming.
L'Île aux Lièvres is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Sémillon. After the harvest, the grapes are pressed and the juice undergoes cold clarification. A basic organic yeast in sub-dose is added to the juice for fermentation. Depending on the vintage, malolactic fermentation can occur, and isn’t stopped since Brice Tingaud is against the addition of sulfur.
Grape varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Sémillon
