Château LA GANNE 2014
Château La Ganne is located in the Pomerol appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux. It has been run for four generations by the Dubois-Lachaud family of winegrowers. They own 2.80 hectares in Pomerol, supplemented by 3 hectares in AOC Bordeaux and a few small plots in the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. Since the 2019 vintage, the vineyard has been certified organic.
Château La Ganne is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc whose age of the vines varies between 50 and 80 years. The harvest is manual and the grapes are sorted on the table. The wine is bled to concentrate color and tannins. The maceration lasts 4 weeks. It is aged in oak barrels, with a proportion of new wood (40%) and the rest in barrels of 1 wine.
Grapes: 90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc
