Domaine Loew - Auxerrois Botrytis 2021
Domaine Loew is located in Westhoffen, Alsace . Heir to a family present in Westhoffen since the 18th century, Etienne Loew resumed in 1996 the wine-growing tradition of his ancestors with his wife Caroline. The vineyard, conducted in certified biodynamics , is worked with respect for the terroir in order to highlight the geological and climatic characteristics according to each grape variety.
The Cuvée Auxerrois Botrytis comes from two vines: an Auxerrois vine planted in 1996 and a Pinot Blanc vine planted in 1967. The two plots are planted on the same soil composed of red marl. The vines are located mid-plateau, conducive to the development of noble rot . Harvesting is carried out manually when overripe. Fermentation and aging are carried out in demi-muids. It is bottled with 49.2 g/L of residual sugars.
