Domaine Loew - Alsace Grand Cru - Altenberg de Bergbieten 2020
Domaine Loew is located in Westhoffen, Alsace . Heir to a family present in Westhoffen since the 18th century, Etienne Loew resumed in 1996 the wine-growing tradition of his ancestors with his wife Caroline. The vineyard, conducted in certified biodynamics , is worked with respect for the terroir in order to highlight the geological and climatic characteristics according to each grape variety.
This Riesling comes from the Grand Cru Altenberg de Bergbieten , facing south and whose terroir is made up of red and black marl. The vines are over 30 years old. Harvesting is manual and fermentation begins spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. The wine is aged on lees until summer. This wine is dry (3.5 g/L of residual sugars).
