Château BEAUSEJOUR BECOT 1997
Château Beau-Séjour Bécot is located in Saint-Émilion , in the Bordeaux wine region. It was classified Premier Grand Cru Classé B , on the 1955 classification. Since 2014, the estate has been run by Juliette Bécot and her husband Julien Barthe. Thomas Duclos replaced consultant oenologist Michel Rolland as consultant in 2018. The vineyard covers 22 hectares, mainly planted with Merlot. The Bécot family also produces Château La Gomerie and Château Joanin Bécot.
The Grand Vin from Château Beau-Séjour Bécot is a predominantly Merlot blend, supplemented with Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon . The vinification takes place in stainless steel vats then the wine is aged for 16 to 20 months in barrels; 65% new barrels and the rest barrels of 1 wine or more.
