Maison Boiteau - Chardonnay - Le Bruleau 2021
La Maison Boiteau is a high-quality micro-commerce . Born in 1977 in Saumur with a grandfather who was a wine grower in Charentes, Julien Boiteau lived for more than 20 years in Bourgueil and became passionate about vines and wine. Through his different experiences and the meeting of passionate men with whom he enriched himself during his 20 years as head of culture at Château Margaux, he created Maison Boiteau in 2014. Today, his wife Maïté l joined in the adventure and it is as a family that they work on the creation of a great Charentes wine . This ambitious objective implies rigorous specifications : the selection of small plots worked by passionate winegrowers on very specific terroirs, the monitoring and carrying out of certain work throughout the year, the harvest on the chosen plots is carried out through their care, they ensure that they protect and preserve the quality of the grapes purchased from meticulous winegrowers.
Brûleau is made from Chardonnay , aged 23 years, grown on a Campanian limestone terroir on a southeast-facing hillside. The harvest is manual and the entire harvest is put into direct pressing. The wine is aged in pieces for 11 months (15% of which are new) then 6 months in stainless steel vats .
