Domaine Alain Gras is located in the Saint-Romain appellation in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy . The estate was founded in 1979 and today covers 12 hectares in Saint-Romain, Meursault and Auxey-Duresses. The vineyard is managed using sustainable agriculture .

Auxey-Duresses Les Crais is made from Chardonnay , the average age of which is 50 years. After manual harvesting, the grapes are put into direct pressing. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentations take place in barrels. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrels , 30% of which are new.
