Clos des Lunes - Silver Moon 2024
Clos des Lunes, Lune d'Argent 2024 is an iconic vintage from the estate created by Olivier Bernard (owner of Domaine de Chevalier in Pessac-Léognan). Located in the heights of Sauternes, this vineyard benefits from deep clay and gravel soils that provide an exceptional setting for the expression of the great dry white wines of Bordeaux.
The 2024 vintage, marked by a temperate and bright climate, favored a slow and balanced ripening of the grapes, a guarantee of purity and tension. The blend, dominated by Sémillon supplemented by Sauvignon Blanc, is vinified with precision: gentle pressing, fermentation in vats and barrels, then aging on fine lees for several months to enrich texture and aromatic complexity.
The nose opens with notes of white flowers, candied lemon, peach, and light honey, enhanced by a touch of boxwood and wet stone. On the palate, the texture is ample and silky, balanced by a straightforward, crystalline freshness. The wine displays a beautiful aromatic intensity, between ripe fruit and mineral tension. The finish, long and harmonious, leaves a saline and zesty imprint of great elegance.
A great dry white Sauternes, bright, precise, and delicious, perfect as an aperitif or with shellfish, grilled fish, or poultry in a cream sauce. Serve between 10 and 12°C.
