Limited to only 268 individually numbered bottles, including this bottle No. 115, the Cuvée Signature 1998 is an exceptionally old agricole rum aged for 25 years in J.M’s Macouba cellars. Bottled at its natural strength of 40.6%, it is a true masterpiece – the result of a quarter-century of patience and mastery. This rare vintage, signed and millésimé, is a tribute to the art of long maturation that elevates the identity of Martinican agricole rum. A true collector’s rum.
The intense mahogany color with deep amber highlights reveals exceptional maturity. The nose opens with complex aromas of dried fruits, fig, date, and prune, combined with notes of cocoa, mocha, and blond tobacco. On the palate, the texture is velvety and refined: candied fruits mingle with vanilla, caramel, and sweet spices, enhanced by a touch of elegant oak. The long and noble finish unveils accents of fine leather, licorice, and stewed fruits, leaving a persistent and harmonious impression.
