Notoriety: Cited in the Gault & Millau Revue.
Soil: Rocky clay-limestone.
Since 1950, any wine that wants to claim the Saint-Emilion appellation must obtain the approval of a commission of expert tasters.

How to appreciate Saint-Emilion?
It is used at 16 to 18 °. Let the bottle stand for a few hours. Uncork it in advance and pour the wine carefully. The contact with the air favoring the expression of the bouquet of wines. It is often advisable to decant them before serving them. We can say that Saint Emilion goes with everything except strong cheeses.
