It was the quality of its deep gravel terroir that prompted Lucien Lurton to acquire it in 1973. Twenty years later, when he decided to distribute his numerous estates - more than 1,000 hectares throughout Bordeaux - among his children, the Villegeorge castle fell to his daughter Marie-Laure, an oenologist who already vinified on the property .

So she highlighted the 18 hectares of this beautiful vineyard which produces elegant and typical Haut-Médoc wines .
